@RobSF In college in the early 70’s, being poor students, my roommate introduced us to a southern CA beer Brew 102. It was like less than 50¢ for a tall can. It belonged in the low end of the bell curve of beer. As the Spanish said of beer when they occupied Holland long ago, it tasted like horse piss.

@AlSweigart My entry in software engineering was as a software tech doing testing on a new assembler for the 8086 written by two software engineers ( and then me too later.) As a newbie I did some research on software testing. It turns out that testing is actually harder as you have to imagine unexpected garbage to throw at it. Not just how it should work but how it can be broken. Software that we assume works vs software we know works to some level.

@mayor Back in 1992 I had to deal with a self-thought rock star from Europe. We went into a radio shack store and he flipped out over these. They were like $6 or something. In Europe they were way more expensive. I forgot how many he bought. Lots.
