  Blog - First Impressions - Gallows Corner - A Peasants' Revolt RPG TL;DR: I picked this up because I liked the theme (England in the late 1300s and the uprising of the peasantry). This is a campaign focused game where you try to wrest control from the ruling classes across the Hundreds and Counties of England.   Blog - #Books in July 2026 In July I read 10 books (2,637 pages) which takes me to 59 for the year so far (14,965 pages). I read 3 roleplaying books, 2 graphic novels & 5 novels. No non-fiction this month, which was a surprise, but I'm quite close to finishing one which will appear in August's update. A mixture of spy fiction (Charles Cumming), mysteries (Simone St. James & Christopher Fowler) & SF (M. John Harrison); all enjoyable. Summaries in the blog...

  Still musing whether it's worth upgrading from macOS Sequia to Tahoe. The only compelling reason I can see at the moment is being able to use @hexaedre's excellent star mapping tool for Traveller and more. But the look of the UI still puts me off.

  Blog - Delta 3 is very definitely Down again! TL;DR: Another one of my #Traveller #ttrpg scenarios has been re-released. Delta 3 is Down is set in the Spinward Marches just before the Fifth Frontier War. You play a Zhodani Admiral and her retinue who have crash-landed on an Imperial Frontier world.   Blog - #Books in February 2026 TL:DR; 7 books, 2,155 pages. 3 novels, 2 non-fiction, 2 roleplaying. Highlight of the month was @cstross@wandering.shop’s “The Regicide Report”, which brought the Laundry Series to an end. Antti Tuomainen’s “The Winter Job” was fun with a wry humour.
