@lauren@mastodon.laurenweinstein.org "Ray would have hated the world today." I saw Mr. Bradbury only one time, in 1998, I think. My impression was that he wasn't too fond of the world then either.

After much tedium, I've tracked down why Cloudflare's obnoxious browser check stopped working with Firefox a few months back: If you have user_pref("dom.enable_resource_timing", false); in your prefs.js or user.js, then the Cloudflare's obnoxious browser check will just loop forever. @GossiTheDog Seeing a bunch of news stories to the effect that "Google Stopped Criminal Hackers Who Used A.I. to Find a Major Software Flaw." But none of them include even the slightest factual details. Does anyone know the basis for the "hackers used AI" claim?

"Their transparency report says they reject all such requests implying they receive some. No number is given." That's kind of the point. That implication is deliberately misleading. Kash Patel aside, the FBI aren't utter morons. They're not "barred" from making direct requests; they're just not stupid enough to do so. They're smart enough to send everything through the MLAT, like they're supposed to, and get eve...
