Is an overpass a bridge (US)? I always get it wrong because I also make distinctions between motorcycles and scooters.

This isn't a bad overview of AI risk from a re-insurer (the insurance co for insurance companies). Different AI use cases with real-world examples and case studies. Use this to educate non-technical/non-risk specialist staff. Also has a glossary. (apologies to whoever posted earlier I just got around to reading it.) #AIrisks #riskmanagement https://www.ajg.com/gallagherre/-/media/files/gallagher/gallagherre/news-and-insights/2026/march/rethinking-insurance-for-the-ai-era.pdf

A hardware bug still showing up over 30 years later. I wonder if we can use bugs like these as generativeAI detectors. Like a gene mutation circulating. #classicmac #gigo #generativeAI #genAI https://sixcolors.com/link/2026/06/welcome-datacomp/

A hardware bug still showing up over 30 years later. I wonder if more bugs like these are being used as generativeAI detectors. Will it affect more people than the number of faulty keyboards sold? #classicmac #gigo #generativeAI #genAI https://sixcolors.com/link/2026/06/welcome-datacomp/

Optical computing technology continues to advance. Whatever your opinion on LLMs, IMHO you have to understand the technology(s) before criticizing it. I compare this to the time when DSPs and math coprocessors were separate chips. https://lumai.ai/resources/lumai-launches-the-worlds-first-optical-computing-system-for-real-time-billion-parameter-llm-inference

@douglasvb Michael Nesmith's estate probably cleared out his garage or warehouse. He passed away in Carmel Valley a few years ago.
