This bird is projected to be extinct by 2040 due to the weather impacts of climate change. Royal Park is one of the hotspot for this species, but they are getting fewer and fewer. The Superb Wren Project (see those bracelets?) tracks superb fairy-wrens in Royal Park for ecological assessment.

Probably my favourite bird portrait that I have ever taken. The Straw-necked Ibis is a cousin of Australia's most maligned bird, the White Ibis (bin chicken).

A Pied Currawong Camouflage. (Not a crow nor a corvid, for anyone outside Oz.) Was walking without my camera this arvo when I saw this bird. It sat so comfortably on that lamp, and thought it look amazing. Definitely not as sharp as my camera, but I enjoyed it

It was my first time seeing an echidna in the wild. So, despite the tour to French island was for a 'birding festival', I would say this is one of the major highlights.

This cute Bowerbird is ready to judge males on the quality of their blue-decorated bowers. :D First time capturing a workable shot of this bird. I've seen them so many times before, but I can't get a decent shot worth sharing.

I am honoured to have witnessed this mass migration of the pink-footed geese from UK to their breeding ground in the Arctic, probably Eastern Greenland or Svalbard. Pink-footed geese migration is characterised by this almost deafening flocks known as 'skeins' that travel in V-shaped formations.

This Kookabura was sitting so patiently on top of a tennis court fence. He waited there for so long, so I was able to get so many shots. He didn't laugh at me tho. Ill come back tomorrow to see if I get laughed at haha
