I&#39;ll tell you a tale. Once, we looked at social networks we used and realized that their algorithms were hostile, their environment footprint untenable, and their fascistic owners had terrible motives. So we rejected the very idea of social networks and shamed anyone who tried to use them. And when someone suggested a network that is controlled by community members and consists of federated servers, we rejected them in disgust for any social network is immoral by design. 1/2
