  I'm going to try a new approach to life: Don't worry about things changing unless either (a) it's my responsibility to manage whatever is changing, or (b) the net result of the change is overtly and obviously harmful. Am curious to see if this lowers my overall stress. After all, change is inevitable.

  @kbeninato I still am completely dumbfounded by the federal court decision (at least one...maybe more than one?) that declared things like the Ten Commandments and the slogan "In God We Trust" to be NOT a governmental endorsement of religion. What the heck else would you call that??

  @eblu Good advice as long as my fun doesn't come at the expense of other people's fun. If we treat the world like a zero-sum game, instead of the "raise all boats" opportunity it mostly is, then we risk devolving into a truly toxic and dysfunctional society.

  Spending most of my social media time these days not here, but rather at: • Bluesky (politics and general fare): https://bsky.app/profile/cfoh.bsky.social • Facebook (special-interest groups and friends & family) • Reddit (special-interest groups) I still think my favorite SM platform so far has been Google+ ... it had great features and a terrific community (and politics weren't as toxic then). I don't think we'll see its like again any time soon, if ever.
