Even "apologising" TDF can't help itself, limiting it to "some" and prefixing everything with victim-blaming: > However, this would not have changed the situation, which might feel like an unfairness to some, even though it isn’t. https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2026/04/11/open-letter-to-developers/ #LibreOffice #governance

Someone just pointed out Mike Kaganski's blog to me: https://mikekaganski.wordpress.com/2026/04/13/our-doors-have-never-been-closed-to-you/ TDF not only threw him out for no fault just because of who he works for, but - despite spinning it as "temporary suspension" - has banned him from even applying for membership for three years. The linked email is pure gaslighting. What awful, inhumane behavior this is. I am disgusted. #LibreOffice #governance #opensource

Oh. So this TDF staff member admits to interfering in the Board voting? Interesting. https://italovignoli.substack.com/p/when-twenty-six-votes-said-everything

RE: https://universeodon.com/@jaykuo/116331578459311108 This has a very Bond Villain vibe. Unfortunately the people doing the killing are supposed to be the good guys.

Anthropic donates $1.5m to Apache. How much will the actual developers get? Zilch. https://itsfoss.com/news/anthropic-apache-software-foundation-donation/ Donating to Foundations believing you are "supporting the developers" is delusional. You're just putting money in the pockets of administrators. Do it enough and they will actually throw the developers out in the name of "true meritocracy".
