Tomorrow's the day! Our workshop at #LREC2026 on "Leveraging Derived Text Formats to Unlock Copyrighted Collections for Open Science" takes place! Even if you can't make it to the event, you can see the programme and read the papers in the proceedings volume here: http://lrec-conf.org/proceedings/lrec2026/workshops/dtf/2026.dtf-1.0.pdf (Not sure why this is not "https", sigh.) #DerivedTextFormats #ExtractedFeatures @ttrippel @cnDuKeli @j...

Very cool! The Proceedings for #CHR2025 have already been published, now at the new and slick #ACH, the "Anthology of Computers and the Humanities", developed and maintained by ACH, the "Association for Computers and the Humanities". As an example, you can check out the paper by @cnDuKeli on "parasitic poems" in fiction: https://anthology.ach.org/volumes/vol0003/detecting-parasitic-poems-quantifying-poetic-style/ Find all papers here:...

RE: https://fedihum.org/@christof/116282982836552392 No success so far, would appreciate any help! (Edit: Just to make it explicit: Yes, I have already contacted all three authors by email, and looked in the usual places, including shadow libraries, but with no success. Setting my hopes on inter-library loan now.)

RE: https://fedihum.org/@WhatIsDH/116435976179663360 Feels very funny to read this 14 years later! It's not really a definition, of course, and I would rather speak of the general aspirational value of openness in DH nowadays, but otherwise, I can still live with that statement.

Très heureux et very happy to participate in the "37th Colloque international de la #SATOR" hosted this week at the @tcdh / the department of DH by Élodie Ripoll. A great programme, wonderful speakers, an event taking me back both to my past as a "dix-huitiémiste", because we are talking about "La Vie de Marianne", the 18th-century novel by #Marivaux, and to one of my first discoveries in #DH, the #SATORBASE. Awesome! Our new paper in #DHQ has been published! It discusses three measures of #keyness (or #distinctiveness) when applied to #subgenres of the #French #novel. The twist is that we perform a #qualitative #evaluation of the measures by relating each list of keywords to a set of characteristics of each subgenre built from reading scholarly publications on the subgenres. Bottom line: choosing a measure makes a huge difference! Read the paper here: https://dhq.digitalhumanities.org/vol/...

Too busy in the "Ontology / Literary Linked Open Data Critiqueathon" workshop this morning at #DH2025 to even post something about it! The PowerPoint Karaoke first, and now the fishbowl discussion, really activate everyone and we're diving deep into several literary ontologies, notably: #GOLEM, #INTRO, #POSTDATA and #MiMoText. #DH2025 #CLS #LinkedOpenData #Wikidata #Wikimedia

Saturday in #Tbilisi, the big event of the day was the evening #concert at the Djansung Kakhidze Center for Music and Culture, an impressive concert hall with space for #orchestra, #choir and a huge #organ. The Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra, the Georgian State Choir and the Collegium Musicum from Trier performed together! Faure, Poulenc and Saint-Saens were on the programme and it was grand! Music truly connects us across languages and cultures.
