FYI mastodon admins, you may want to block the `meta-externalagent/1.1 (+https://developers[dot]facebook[dot]com/docs/sharing/webmasters/crawler)` (link mangled to prevent previews) and `meta-externalagent/1.1` useragents. They&#39;ve been hitting my instance&#39;s signup page at roughly 5Hz, and things got a lot faster after I configured nginx to discard their traffic.
