when politicians talk about using AI for things they actually mean magic "we're going to improve productivity using magic" "we're going to improve the health system using magic"

if you have ADHD this post is for you: are you satisfied with your meds? have you tried other meds? I ask bc it's way way too common for people to have only tried one, to not know if others would be better, or to even feel outright awful on the meds they're on and to just accept it

labour are so preoccupied with what they think the electorate will accept but don't seem to have their own line of what they will and won't accept

i do standup. i've performed personal poetry on stage. i've posted about half the thoughts i've ever had. can someone explain why i find flirting so intimidating. can someone explain why i even find it intimidating to flirt *with people i'm already sleeping with*

a personal development that happened without my noticing is ending whatever insecurity i had that made me feel like i couldn't talk about having sex without it coming across as a humblebrag. maybe it's bc i'm almost 30.

is it uncouth to leverage recent events to plug my surgery fund? maybe. but if i can't have trans rights i should at least be allowed some trans wrongs https://ko-fi.com/riversurgeryfund

once i've locked down funding for my surgery and know i can afford it i wanna budget some funds to go towards other people's fundraisers

wrt the job cuts the last people i feel sorry for are hospo business owners; especially the ones who put up posters fighting efforts to make the city safe, and supporting right-wing politicians whose cut cut cut philosophy is cut cut cutting their customer base

i don't like "why are we focusing on this when we have high unemployment etc.?" bc it implies that if we didn't have economic issues then it might be fine to focus on restricting human rights

i think i figured out why the term "cost of living" bothers me so much—it's completely supplanted the word "poverty" it's a term that refers to the comfortable being a little less comfortable, and not the uncomfortable being pushed to the brink

never ever forget that in the cycle discussion there are two sides: people who don't want to die, and people who are happy for other people to die for their convenience

another good reason to replace buses with trams is unlike bus drivers, tram drivers can't overtake you by inches in the wind and rain and then argue with you that you were supposed to be keeping left as though breaking their false reading of the law would make it ok for them to FUCKING KILL YOU
