There’s a *lot* of talk about how great it is that Alan Dye has left Apple. I agree: UI design has been a disaster under Dye. Liquid Glass on the Mac in particular is a train wreck. But as I’ve said before, OS X Lion was when the Mac UI began to go downhill. Reduced contrast, full screen mode on maximise, the death of Save As in favour of the useless Duplicate … the UI decay began long ago.
