  I love how the City of Goodyear (Arizona) abandoned all plans for a new "downtown" around its ballpark — which is quite geographically central — and instead built City Hall and focuses all new development to be near Pebble Creek, a senior community in the far north of the city. Gerontocracy on a local level.
