About a decade ago I wanted a cool fabric with a feminist scifi theme and I was not too fussed about quality. So I made this collage of old scifi covers with women. I have never used it (first found no pattern, then was annoyed at the quality of the fabric). I have decided to use it to test a pattern. I have to mix it in with some other fabric because I do not have enough for the (very fabric-hungry) pattern. But I wanted to show the fabric as a whole to people first. I kind of love it. #sewing

The thing that may actually drive down my consumption (books, it is books) is that every time I order something online I get messages in triplicate for every stage of the delivery process. From &quot;something may soon be picked up by some mail service&quot; to &quot;you just picked up your mail&quot;.

Imagine coming up with a nifty pottery design, and then you show it to some people, maybe sell it (or they do), and it spreads to neighbouring regions, and 5000 years later the whole period in which you live is dated based on your nifty pot.
