So many people in the AI space, especially people in the social sciences attaching themselves to it, are trying to reinvent HCI from first principles. I doubt most of them even know that HCI is a field 🫠

"Revenue more than doubled in the quarter, from $981.8 million a year earlier, according to a statement. Net loss widened to $740 million from $315 million, or $1.49 per share, in the same quarter a year ago." So losses also... more than doubled... https://www.cnbc.com/2026/05/07/coreweave-crwv-q1-earnings-report-2026.html

Important paper just put out at NBER showing that data centers are already significantly increasing electricity costs for people, with rates likely to increase MUCH more if this build out continues https://conference.nber.org/conf_papers/f235887.pdf

Me: Look at all these fundamental issues with LLMs. Here's an example of someone losing their job from using them where the truth matters AI Bro: I was worried about that, but I checked the answer one time and it was right and I made sure in the prompt to tell the LLM to only tell me the truth

Important new paper using the staggered geographic rollout of LLM tools within Change.org to demonstrate that they didn't improve (and overall slightly harmed outcomes), while making the petitions themselves more homogeneous in language use. This has now been documented in other studies as well, adding further weight to the claim that these tools have limited or negative value in a vast majority of applications https://arxiv.org/abs/2511.13949
