I know I’ve said this before, and I know it’s a terrible time to be asking, but…man, I really, really need to quit my job, so if anyone knows of any Senior iOS-type gigs, let me know.

Sorry for posting about looking for a new gig and then not logging back on for like a month! In any case, based on my replies, it sounds like things are pretty bad out there. Glad to know my experience is not unusual. I suspect things in the industry are far worse than is generally recognized at this point. Like, Dotcom Bust bad.

Pretty much everything in the world feels like it&#39;s in an unsettling transitional state at the moment. Tech is adjusting to the end of the Zero Interest Rate Easy Money Bonanza. Social media has been blown to bits. My friends who are screenwriters and directors have had their careers put on hold. Trump may go to jail or may be our next President. AI looms over everything.

@markmiller@mastodon.social @schwa Yeah, I was a user long before I even realized I knew a bunch of the people who started the company (ex-Twitter people actually). Like a lot of people, I originally got mine as a Christmas gift. Now I have like five LOL.
