  Moving into the more unused classes in the legacy #PHP codebase, I was just horrified to discover a method about 200 lines long, the reused the variable name $field not once, but twice! moving from an object to an array to a string. I have renamed the variables to be better, and next week, some refactoring to break that apart. It is doing too much. #refactoring

  OMG I was in a presentation. My phone in my pocket. It’s on silent. I feel it ring. I ignore it. It rings again I ignore it again. It’s probably spam. It rings again, now I’m thinking it’s my kid no one else would be that persistent so I check. It’s an unknown number so I ignore it. It rings again. And again. 6 calls from different unknown numbers but all left the same scammy message. Some robocall nonsense. Such a pain.

  Discovered that we aren’t releasing our immense collection of historic film onto the free web because AI bots will harvest it and licenses and rights will not be recognised. We are currently in discussions around allowing access through other gated means (memberships etc) but I want it open. I hate LLMs and all the infrastructure around them. #historyShouldBeFree #weAreInTheWorstTimeline

  June 16th - the last day I will have any #PHP v7 code running in production. This has been a task, but we have got there. Well done team (me)! 🥳 Next job, update from 8.3 to 8.5, but I can fix some bugs before then 🐜

  I have no idea what plant this is apart from ‘some sort of cactus or succulent’ but it sits in a pot outside my front door and gets no care whatsoever. I believe my father in law waters it occasionally. But it has decided that this year is bloom time! #bloomScrolling

  I have been taken back to my youth... My kid's friends just turned up unannounced at our house at 9:30 at night, because they were bored and my kid wasn't with them. Purely spur of the moment, having fun because they can. Reminds me of being 19 and carefree... There is now giggling and story telling happening in my kitchen :partyparrot:

  Oh that’s new… Mother in law (80s & #alzheimers) just sent me a text. It was a group text with her, and her again and me. The text was only her name. I know that wasn’t what she intended. I wonder what she was trying to do? Sounds like a visit is in order 🤪 How is it possible to create a group message with you in it twice??

  I saw mention on here this morning about a newly discovered old exploit for linux, but I didn't get that it affects basically every linux distro released since 2017.
