8 New Features in Microsoft 365 #Copilot You Need to Try (August 2026) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGKchY88M_Y "Copilot Prompt Lab" is mostly just a reskin of the "Copilot Prompt Gallery" (FKA "Copilot Lab") but otherwise, yeah, great tips here.

Subtle improvement here - #Copilot Pages have previously been stored in #SharePoint and counted against the tenant quota. Going forward they'll be in #OneDrive where they'll count against the more-generous OneDrive quotas. https://deltapulse.app/item/MC1449182

"What's happening is the pattern is technology or low cost becomes the solution before the problem is actually fully understood." ― John Barbera on tech-led process mistakes, Heard on Legal Innovation Spotlight I see this all the time, people rushing to solve a problem they don't really understand. As a result the solution often misses the mark.

Low-key, low-risk, way that #Copilot saves me time. We have some #PowerPoint templates with a copyright statement in the footer. Sometimes I notice the copyright year is out-of-date and I want to update. I could go into the slide master and track that down manually, or I can just ask Copilot in PowerPoint to do it. Takes seconds, one less tedious task for me.

Hmm...but the Create flow is how you access the Scan capability in the M365 app. Are they finally killing that very useful feature? 🤔 https://deltapulse.app/item/MC1440973

If you're one of the too-few people who use Microsoft Whiteboard you should be aware of this upcoming change, though I'd guess that most whiteboards currently in use aren't affected. The deprecation of the standalone app might be a bigger deal. https://deltapulse.app/item/MC1441775

So Why Can’t People Find Work? https://www.inc.com/entrepreneurs-organization/america-has-millions-of-open-jobs-so-why-cant-people-find-work/91381250 Companies are probably going to have to broaden their requirements a bit and be more willing to accept less experience and do more on-the-job training and apprenticeships.

Right-click any tab in Edge (or any browser, really) and you'll find some helpful options. Perhaps the most helpful of which make it easy to close tabs - including closing several at once.

The Portland zoo is probably pretty nice, but the parking situation is so dire. I'm not sure we'll ever get to find out.

Good grief, the day rarely passes that somebody doesn't spam me with an offer to help me get booked to speak on podcasts. I don't begrudge the hustle, but they don't need to be so pushy about it. 🤦‍♂️

I've been married for 16 years and I've learned that when your wife asks if you can watch the kids for a little while there are two possible correct answers: 1. Yes 2. I'd love to.

Despite being on the "Do Not Call" registry I probably get 10 text messages a month from local contractors trying to sell me services (roofers, electricians, painters...). I assume I inadvertently "opted in" to some contractor referral service at some point and ended up on a list. #SoAnnoying

This does seem like a logical middle ground - more convenient than a phone app, less of a reach than smartglasses. And I expect it to become more pervasive, especially as more apps and platforms come online. AI Notetakers Have Reached the Wrist. If you have a business, especially a B2B business, but you're using a free email account like Hotmail or GMail for your work address then I have a hard time taking you seriously. I tend to think either you're a scammer or your business is just a side-hustle. A real domain name costs a few dollars a year. Do yourself a favor.

I've been married 16 years and one thing I've learned is that if your wife asks "Am I crazy?" that's a rhetorical question. Resist the urge to respond.

As a test I ran a fairly straightforward email categorization task in #Copilot Cowork. I still need to do some more testing and comparison, but it seems like it was more expensive than I expected it to be given that the task was relatively simple. To be fair I didn't take any optimization steps.

As you undoubtedly know I'm fairly positive on #Copilot generally, but this feature is useless. It's the AI embodiment of the old joke about the lost helicopter pilot who yells out to somebody on the ground asking where he is and the guy on the ground responds, "You're in a helicopter!"

Moderately surprised that I don't seem to be able to export my engagement data from LinkedIn. Maybe that's a LinkedIn Premium feature? I can export it from Buffer, so no big whoop, just curious that I have to go to a 3rd party for it.

There are some interesting nuggets in here. Building a brand that stands out from the noise is hard. Doing something original that 100 other "hustle bros" aren't already doing is hard. But the barriers to entry are very low today. A 24-Year-Old Built a 26 Million-Follower Media Empire. "The statement, 'contract review takes too long'. That's not testable. But a testable hypothesis that's related to that is something like 'in-house legal teams at mid-market companies spend three plus days per contract review cycle because red lines are managed across email threads rather than a single version control document'. That much longer sentence, unlike contract review takes too long, is a testable hypothesis." -Jon Krohn

"We have lawyers who say, I was exploring an argument that I didn't think would be a good idea, but I used Lois and all of a sudden it found a couple of cases and it was a line of case law theory That I didn't think applied to my case, but it does. And so we're going to actually attack the other side in a way that we hadn't realized at all. And when you lower the cost for exploration, for creative exploration, people become much more creative." -The Geek in Review
