  quit ff7 rebirth on the jenova fight. a 4 phase 15 minute boss fight in the middle of the game with no checkpoints where it spawns like 6 tentacles and has constant AoE and consistently stunlocks and interrupts characters as they, say, try to cast cure. what is this. how does this make sense as an RPG anymore. this is devil may cry with a heaping extra serving of stunlock anyway i could bump the difficulty down but i'm too pissy

  ff7 rebirth is pretty okay relative to remake. but the combat system is still disgustingly bad imo having to charge atb means characters with slow or weaker attacks like aerith dont get atb to use magic. so why have magic users? the only reason to use it is for staggering enemies are all just a puzzle to stagger and multiple together often spam you unavoidably when you focus on solving the puzzle for one and, yay, stunlock you stunlocking in these games, fuuuuuck, why. stop fucking turning my...

  #sgdq2026 is a great time so far, but i always lose track during the rhythm games. it's so cool that people can do this, and the first 1 or 2 times i saw them, i was in awe. but then it settled in that it moves too fast for me to process the coolness of what they're doing and it becomes a whole bunch of tapping and flashing to hyper jpop that i don't really like and for some reason they do like 65 minute showcases for multiple different games i kinda wish they'd just drop a 2...

  i'm finding that lots of software is burying "Copy Link" functions under a "Share" header instead of just leaving it extra visible and accessible. it usually gets buried bc for profit apps want people not to see it, and to use social media share icons instead, which are like, a gauntlet for picking up internet equivalent of STIs. tracking, etc. i'm hoping FOSS stuff keeps fighting to keep "copy link" as accessible and up-front as it can.
