Vibe coders will ask the AI to write everything in Rust, memory usage will be reasonably low The people writing everything in Electron are gonna have a fun time with their users though.

That emoji is incidentally how I feel about this whole thing being possible

I suggest you try going and being homeless with your kid so you don’t have to work for any corporation. They’ll be happier that way, then there’s no forgiveness to seek since you never failed them by working for a corporation.

    Yes, why don’t you

Ugh I try to avoid Facebook and realistically that’s the only marketplace worth a damn these days. Perhaps I should tell my friends who still use it to keep their eyes open.

Prawns? But those are the bald guys in chest. Why are you eating them?

Hey, putas are at least useful for something and they’re still human, as are their hijos.

Anything that doesn’t kill you brings you closer to death in some way if it is hurtful. Uhhh exercise can be hurtful (muscle soreness) and I’m sure we can find other examples Not that I disagree with the rest of your post. I love a good sauna, but the joy of it is that it ends when I get out (and maybe jump into a pile of snow). A heat wave is just… Taxing

Smart watches often have mics because they can be used to take calls without having your phone on you (still has to be near you unless it’s a cellular smartwatch), or to use the assistants or whatever. The PineTime (Pro) is the one place where this shouldn’t worry you because whatever software you’re running on it was installed by you so you’ve hopefully vetted it for security.

Not even. It’s even worse there, I’m in Estonia. Summer sunshine is ridiculous though. More so in Norway of course.

It’s being proposed for AI literally. As in AI doesn’t TECHNICALLY need RAM, it could also use SAM and this stuff could provide excellent sequential access performance.

She’s basically his boss tbh. It does not seem like a healthy relationship

Yes, Apple notoriously invented it for the Android Debug Bridge too.

LLMs can already use way more I believe, they don’t really run them a single one of these things. The HBM4 would likely be great for speed though.

In English. What’s it called in Whovian?

It’s the English name for it. There’s no guarantee that the whos even speak English. I doubt the Spartans in 300 spoke English, nor the Russians in Enemy at the Gates, but the spoken language in both movies was English.

Just because we now call it yule (or Christmas in English speaking countries) doesn’t mean it’s no longer about the solstice/winter season like it was for thousands of years. Christ gets near zero attention for Christmas in my country. I’ve NEVER seen a nativity scene IRL. Christ is just a later addition to a much older tradition for a lot of people. Not even an important one. Of course that’s for us atheists and pagans, not Christians.

I send people memes after not talking to them for a few days or years all the time. You can get a conversation started using Lemmy shitposts!

Well, github would provide it for free. Their business model is that just hosting shit is free, but costing them actual server resources means you gotta pay 'em. And that’s a sensible business model IMO, but unfortunately they’re also owned by Microsoft, which I didn’t even like 2 decades ago, let alone now that they’re pushing AI. Guess what I’m hoping is for Github alternatives, potentially based on Forgejo, to adopt a similar business model (free storage, paid runners beyond a very limi...
