This book is really good: https://www.pearson.com/en-us/subject-catalog/p/linux-applications-programming-by-example-the-fundamental-apis/P200000012469/9780135325520. I&#39;m not that far into it yet, slowly chipping away at chapter 4 exercises, but can say so far that it&#39;s not hand-holdy, but not intractable. The author acknowledges that there are things readers won&#39;t understand when they&#39;re first introduced, and that&#39;s okay. Oddly enough it reminds me of the...
