  I just realized I’ve been to three transporter bridges. The one near Bilbao I’ve walked across the span and “flown” beneath it, the one in Osten I biked past with @Zalk123 and the one in Rendsburg we rode across the span by train… let’s add at least two (UK and France)?

  Ok sod it, I am going to bed, getting really frustrated with #JavaScript and #D3 in particular. That functional programming style is not for me. I thought I was going to build something all modern and dynamic and hip and… oh god I really sound like my age do I? I’ll just render it statically as a picture in Python and when someone else finds my project interesting (if and when I make it public) they can make it hip and modern.

  So tomorrow it’s one of those “holidays” that the Dutch don’t (or barely) celebrate. We don’t (generally) celebrate the 1st of May, at least, it’s not an official holiday And The end of the First World War is also not celebrated over here, because we we neutral. I think “we” probably made money from the war… I can’t shake the feeling that these two are somehow linked.

  Why did I only learn of ncdu today? An interactive du variant. So useful! Available on pretty much every #linux distro and on #homebrew Cleaning up nearly full drives doesn’t become much easier, because you can delete files/directories directly from the sorted-by-size view of a directory

  Anyone have a recommendation for a >= 4 ports EU/NL compatible USB-C charger that can do ~ 50W(?) per port? Don’t need to run a laptop of it, but I want to be able to (quick) charge my phone and up to three other usb-c powered/charged devices. Shouldn’t be too heavy because I want to take it with me on cycle touring holiday. Any recommendations? #fedihelp

  The plan for our holiday is to cycle from St Nazaire to Geneva, so I need transport from say Utrecht to St Nazaire and from Geneva back to Utrecht (for two persons each with a bicycle) The way back is “easy”, but reaching St Nazaire within a day (because we’re still on the clock at the start of the holiday) is a challenge. There is no bike bus in the week(end) of our departure so that option is out. Car is also not really an option, so what are your ideas? #fedihelp #askfedi

  Ok, gave up on #SNCF and booked the bus for traveling to the start of the #cycletouring holiday. And after an evening of clicking on #BahnDE I have a plan for the journey back home. If I get the go ahead from @Zalk123 the only thing we have to do is the actual cycling 😂

  Pffff the last few days I gained even more respect for the people who sell tickets to you at/for railway companies… I’ve spent an ungodly amount of time attempting to book/ booking tickets for rail travel with bikes to and from our cycle touring holiday. I failed on the onwards travel (we are taking a bus with bike transport) but the way back is finally done. Also, I want access to the systems the professionals have because I felt very limited by the web interfaces
