Apparently Apple had stopped advertising on Twitter, then started again, and now they're stopping again. Maybe it'll stick this time?

@grammargirl @jay_peper Simone Giertz's hanger doesn't help so much if you're space constrained (hanging garments become double-thick if you have to fold it), but is really useful when you've got a closet that's just too narrow or wasn't designed for hanging garments well. I've especially run into this at hotels, but I'm sure small apartments have this kind of thing a lot, and trailers.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell Today's news is that Jimmy Carter's wife Rosalynn has joined him in hospice care. 96, and has Alzheimer's problems.

Has anybody found a way to upgrade Ubuntu 23.04 to 23.10 or 23.10.x? They had some griefer mess up a lot of the translations, and declare that a blocker bug and sort of withdrew the upgrade, and I can download 23.10.1 directly, but I've got a bunch of 23.04 machines that need upgrades. Any time I use the upgrade tool it shows me blank release notes. All my Google-Fu finds is instructions from before that (which no longer work) or complaints from after.)

@malwaretech On the other hand, subverting the trust and safety apparatchiks of several popular social networks during the last two elections did not prove to be difficult at all. (In some twisted sense, Elon has made us slightly safer by making Twitter unusable, as well as making things worse for us by making Twitter unusable.)

@LinuxAndYarn @mkellis @wendynather Does it have a caption? This only shows the picture.

@Affekt @willowbl00 I used to do Mac support for my department head, even though I didn't have a Mac and we had people who did know them. I knew how to plug and unplug all the parts of the printer system, which was the usual thing that went wrong, and was good at doing support for users who needed walking through things.
