My kids have called the police because I've eaten so much sunday roast. I even had seconds of stuffing, which has resulted in my arrest under the Geneva Convention for deployment of asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases.

Talking about Moana earlier has reminded me that I made a Drum and Bass roller out of the song from when she first walks into the sea a few years back. I must have seen this film 100 times when my daughter was tiny.

Unreasonably excited about testing out my new portafilter basket (going from pressurised to unpressurised) this morning - it's going to be a many coffee day while I tweak my grind.

Hello fedi bike maintenance folk, how easy is this to fix? The outer wall bit has come away and all the bearings have run away into the forest to live with the squirrels. The whole axle now rattles around inside the hub. Edit: Thanks for all the boosts and replies, kind fedifolk! I've opened it all up, cleaned it off and found the problem - snapped axle made it all fall apart (see thread for a pic if you're feeling nosey) #BikeTooter #BikeMaintenance

I managed to have a dick about in the garage last night, here's some slightly discordant #trance - it's a jam rather than a polished track, but my arms seem to have had more fun than I remember them having at some points. I've been heading out on my own to take pictures of wildlife and found I've been really enjoying it. I think a lot of it is the time spent alone. Maybe I need to do more of that back home in my day to day life (I don't think working on my own in the garage counts, as I'm not able to choose what I do)

I think oystercatchers are my (new? I don't think I had one before) favourite birb. They are very fast and have long beaks. They seem to use ground effect quite a lot, skimming across the tops of the waves at a rate of knots. They have a call like the old school rave whistle crew. Peep peep!

Guys! I've discovered a great local artisanal pilsner, brewed in small batches right here in Scotland! They've even named it after Scotland's most famous son, Neil Tennant!

This place is teeming with wildlife. It's going to be a soggy week but will try to get some pictures. Birds, sheeps and coos all over the show, and apparently there's a pine marten in the area.

I need to think before ordering. I thought a pint of prawns sounded like a funny thing to order, but then it arrived and I spent a good half an hour shelling these bastards while everyone else had yummy chips. In fairness they were very fresh, brought into the harbour this morning.

The tap water here comes from the burns in the hills behind the house. It's brown with peat and I can only imagine that makes for a terrible whisky.
