The smell of sea, sunscreen, and sweat … I'm out cycling, currently stopped at the beach in Apollona. This is the most northern village on Naxos. I like it, because the cafés on the beach have this old 80s summer vacation feeling to them. Life could be worse. #Meermittwoch #SeaWednesday #sea #cycling #Naxos

Turns out, my phone having digital spirit levels is great: This works when holding the phone horizontal, photographing down on a drawing on the table below. (I'm doing a slightly bigger, more ambitious drawing and watercolour painting. So I want to document the stages for myself.) #drawing #sketching #zeichnen #tools

Back in 2017 I had started to make a site / blog about #cycling on #Naxos. I wrote some great articles, but soon lost motivation and stopped. Today I cycled with someone who had found that site (and found it useful) before meeting me (first online, then IRL). It kinda makes me consider re-starting that little side-project. No idea if I could actually hold the motivation longer on a second try.

Annoying squaking when opening or closing the frame on your #cycling glasses? Do you have a TWSBI #fountainpen? It comes with a lil' bottle of silicon grease, a tiny drop of which put on the hinge will shush that squeak nicely. Sometimes combinations of hobbies work out well. (Should work for other plastic sunglasses too). #lifehack

"If you’re reading this book, it’s because you want to join the elite. You want to count amongst the Navy SEALS of information technology." I went and bought the book "Ed Mastery" from @mwl today. I am now reading it. There is no excuse, I should have done this a long time ago: "ed(1) is the standard Unix text editor" https://www.tiltedwindmillpress.com/?product=ed #NowReading #Bookstodon #book #ed #unix #theStandardTextEditor

I remember this as a very cold bike ride. January 2024. But it was so very impressive even in the moment, it almost made me forget my frozen fingers on the downhill. #SilentSunday #photography #landscape #light #cycling
