Today’s snack. Pretty good. Golden Week is great because we get tons of omiyage from all our colleagues’ trips.

I finished watching Malcom in the Middle. I only watched a few episodes as a kid. Score: :) Now I'm thinking of re-watching Breaking Bad for more Bryan Cranston masterclass acting.

Hiking starts to get complicated with many bear attacks... A body with the upper half missing was discovered in the mountains of Okutama Town, Tokyo. Based on traces in the surrounding area, damage by a large animal is suspected, and the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the possibility of a bear attack. Just prior to this, an accident occurred nearby where a Russian man was attacked by a bear, and anxiety is spreading. https://youtu.be/W9zdIqnpOHw

Bear attacks in Japan are increasing due to factors like rural depopulation, warmer weather, and changes in food availability, leading to more human-bear encounters. Precautions include making noise while hiking, avoiding dawn and dusk, securing food, and carrying bear spray. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez9CkjuMAiA Yeah I think I will need a bear spray. That's scary though. For now I hike in quite popular spots, so risk is minimal.
