Is there a term for when you redraw a 930x930 black and white image pixel-by-pixel because you couldn’t get a clean enough scan? Aside from crazy, of course.

After I stopped using Delicious Library, I needed something to manage my collectables (music, books, memorabilia, etc). I wanted it online and integrated with platforms like Discogs for music. Over the past few weeks, I put together the basics in the evenings. Since music is my most extensive collection, first up was syncing with and pulling metadata and images from Discogs. I still need to add uploading custom images, searching, filtering and sorting. But it works, and it looks good (to me).

#MyFirstMac was the original Bondi blue iMac, bought in November 1998. Up to that time I had worked on Macs only at college and at work. Apart from a year early in the 2000s, it’s been Macs all the way since then.

Now and again, you encounter a song that gives you goosebumps and forces you to listen to it at least ten times in a row. And then maybe just once more. Between yesterday and today, that was Sheryl Crow’s “Try Not to Remember” from 2006 for me. Such. A. Good. Song. Those strings at the end are just *chef’s kiss*. Make your day a bit better and give it a whirl: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=it0-H-QGMVE, https://www.deezer.com/en/track/104621816 or find it on your streaming service of choice...

Over the past two months, the success rate of the TouchID key on my Magic Keyboard has been atrocious. I was seriously considering replacing it when, today, I possibly stumbled upon the real cause. My hands may just have been too cold. After it failed on me this afternoon, I rubbed my hands together to warm them up and when I pressed the key again it worked. I repeated it a few times later in the day and, without fail, it would unlock once I’d warmed my hands. I’m gobsmacked, to be honest.
