Too many art hobbies. And now I've started trying to nail my watercolour technique. Frequent trips to the art supplies store in the belief that better quality paper will help me get better results.

I've been working on my skies in watercolour. I've always avoided this medium, now I'm damned addicted to it. Have been trying to do a painting a day #watercolor #watercolour

One of my earlier #watercolor quick landscapes on cheap but thick paper that held up really well. What I loved was the dark foreground leading up to lighter greens before touching the faint blueness of the sky. Power in subtlety!!

It's raining today in #Melbourne and the dogs are inside, wondering when they can go for a run. Short term memory loss especially the #bordercollie as I already took him out at 5AM BEFORE the rain set in

Cracked out the Koh-I-Noor mechanical pencil with one of my favourite black graphites. I grew up drawing #scifiArt and #fantasyart as a kid, and never really stopped.

I'm challenging myself to either a watercolour painting each day or a #scifiArt or #fantasy inspired #drawing each day. This one was certainly a test of my patience - it took about 4 hours all up.

Simple is often best. This is a macro close-up highlighting #watercolor graduation from Turner's Yellow to Winsor Red to a mix of Neutral Tint. Heavily over-saturated to get that really stark contrast on the cold pressed paper. Technical babble aside, I really enjoyed the effect.

An 8-minute exercise in #fineliner and #watercolor - sped up 6x so its only a 1m24s watch! My first time ever filming myself drawing or painting anything, so a historical moment (even if it's just a bit of my own history) - apologies and learnings for next time, my lamp was casting shadows. Hope you enjoy it as much as I had fun making it.

I completed my little #sketch and #watercolor session sped up 8x hope you enjoy. I kind of enjoyed the pressure of filming it to make me paint like a hummingbird and seeing it sped up is funny (to me)
