Today I installed #linux on my dayjob laptop, a Lenovo E14 G7. Would prefer #Mint, but unfortunately #Ubuntu is the only debian based distro tolerated by our MDM. Have to install a W11 VM for PowerBI, but at least the main OS is solid!

In the middle of sous videing our dinner I had a call about site wide sftp problems. Thinking my Friday #firewall changes (I know, shut up already! =)) had broken something, I took the subway down and spent 2 hours sifting through captures and testing bypass policies before having the bright idea to test sftp from my cli. It worked. Turns out our automation updated #FileZilla from 3.69.6 to 3.70.0 on Friday, featuring a new ssh library. Rolled back and pinned 3.69.6, got cheers and went home.

@macberg Yes, but only for those young enough to heal in 4-8 weeks! No, I&#39;m not afraid, I just worry that I&#39;ll start failing CAPTCHAs if I have any more titanium bits fitted to my slow growing bones.

I&#39;m still surprised by how much snappier my self hosted #forgejo (v15) instance is compared to that well known, exponentionally growing site (that has had lots of downtime lately). And it just works (tm)! Now onto the next project; getting a personal #Zulip instance up and running. While I honestly think #Mattermost is the better built product, and having lots of home made plugins from when we used it at work, I&#39;m not going to compile my own Android app just to get notifications...
