  struggling here, making a fantasy workstation inspired by picotron (i really don't want it to be a copy/clone of picotron, want to try make it unique with its own stuff) but I'm just trying to get a basis right now. does anyone have any information on how fantasy workstations like this work, process-wise? no idea how i should be handling it to be multi-process (since i need to be able to read data between processes) or if it should be in one process no idea how picotron does it...

  The Sparrow Workstation OS is going well. I now have a process loop & rendering of a window manager. Annoyingly; the window manager doesn't really do anything except fill the screen with a random color since I think I'll need to implement userdata for the wm to draw other processes. Scary.

  The Sparrow Workstation font is in progress! The font editor isn't the best; and needs some updates to get support for variable width fonts; but me oh my progress is swell!

  The wiki is now listed on the Picotron Resources page!! I've updated the BBS post (where it links to) with some information on other frontends (like Inuchat), and where to find the repository. I'm genuinely so thankful to @zep for this; I'm really happy to have done something worthwhile like this. this is now making me realise i should get my bbs name changed to Astralsparv with this now being listed on the resources page, if you'd be so kind as to do the honour...

  part of me so bad wants to make my fantasy OS 720x405 or 720x540... but big screen == big sprites and stuff...
