  It’s been a crazy time at work. I think I’ve put in like 4 or 5 14 hour days in a row now. I love engineering, but when I can’t work on art my soul dies a little.

  I just saw a lecture that said: 1. Demand of sulfur is increasing due to its uses in devices and clean energy 2. Production of sulfur is decreasing because we’re burning less fossil fuels 3. Sulfates can be found in rivers as a result of runoff carrying pollutants into the water 4. We can extract those sulfates from the water, which cleans the water and generates elemental sulfur needed in our technology! The biggest downside right now is the high cost. #engineering #energy #water #science

  When talking about the water consumption of AI data centers, most of the consumption is indirect. Although some water is used for cooling, it’s the massive consumption of electricity that uses so much water because coal, natural gas, and nuclear plants use water to generate power. #ai #datacenters #sustainability #tech #water #science #engineering #noai
