Signal recently implemented and launched Pinning of messages https://signal.org/blog/pinned-messages/ I really think it is a useful feature and have been using it in Mattermost and Slack for many years. I hope #xmpp clients like #dino #gajim and #conversations_im will follow with a similar feature, maybe even making it possible to sync such message pins across clients.

@debacle I tried mailbox.org some years ago. Though their xmpp support seems not to be their priority 🤔 https://compliance.conversations.im/server/mailbox.org/ Still a nice offer! @pwob@mastodon.social @mailbox_org

TIL: ~/.digrc +nocmd +nocomments +nostats Will keep your dig output short and clean per default. (I knew the +[no]options like for ages but it never occurred to me I want to have it in a dotfile)

@jpmens Thanks for the long write up. I haven't read it yet, but I certainly will. Just this week our junior dev started rolling out something like this and I have yet to understand what she did and how this all works 😁

@jpmens your post helped me indeed in getting the basic concept. But our setup will involve step ca and gitlab as auth provider. So yes, definitely will have her give me a lecture on this after vacation 😁👍
