@alexskunz wait, #MountainMonday is a thing here? I'm up for it! Is the spirit of the tag to only post things from the last week? If so, here is my entry (I have much better mountain photos but they're from before last Monday)

@wendinoakland@mastodon.social @ai6yr @GottaLaff I just want someone, anyone to acknowledge my "Day After Tomorrow" joke. @grammargirl also construction can affect traffic in ways that don't involve slowing down -- it can prohibit turns, for instance, which could speed up traffic in general but inconvenience certain users. A phrase that doesn't imply good or bad can be helpful in these situations.

I was supposed to be in Toronto next week for work but it was cancelled as they've cancelled all travel while they work through layoffs, etc. Glad I didn't go -- my boss came down with COVID and was unable to move on Monday and could hardly talk today, but he's convinced he's assured everyone he'll be in the office next Monday.
