Played Container (recent Allplay reprint) for the first time. 4P game. I'd heard good things about Container for 20 years! Overall I liked the economy engine and theme. We made a setup mistake and played with every container (20x) instead of the indicated amount (11x). Our game went waaay too long and entered an awkward zone where players didn't always have meaningful turns. #boardgames

Can anyone speak from firsthand experience how is the DuckDuckGo suite of #privacy services? TIL they offer private email relay, VPN, private AI chat, and data broker scrubbing for $10/mo. That's a good deal if the services individually are decent. https://duckduckgo.com/pro Could be a simple recommendation for folks that don't want to move to Proton.

Headed to a monthly indie game dev meetup to get feedback on Panthera. It is only the second time I've taken the game out into the wild. Getting player feedback (especially from other devs) is stressful, but I'm feeling good that Panthera is ready for mass testing. #gamedev #indiedev #boardgames

Today's improvements to Panthera come from our illustrator, Adam L, who has replaced my sloppy photographs with clean illustrations! Example of game setup illustration:

I've also prepared a player's reference card based on feedback from last month's dev meetup. It was an interesting challenge to select what makes the cut on a 1/4 of an A4 sheet. Some of the streamlined rule grammar might make it back into the rulebook...

It doesn't look like Session is going to survive. Session is an encrypted messenger that solves for a few problems that Signal still has. First, users do not require a phone number to sign up. Second, the message delivery network is decentralized, meaning there is no one business entity or country to subpoena for user data. Now, the Session Technology Foundation is asking for $1M in donations to fund the project for 12 months. https://getsession.org/donate (1/n) #privacy #opensource

I backed this last night. Local designer husband and wife that run a monthly indie game dev meet up in Denver. Arena combat with simple rules that can be played as a one shot, roguelike, solo, coop, or competitive. Let's get them funded within 24 hours! https://gamefound.com/en/projects/waterbear-workshop/diecathlon #indiegame #indiedev #games #gamedev

@malick do you have an example of using local AI to assist devsecops workflows?

I'm pleased that the Colorado Public Utilities Commission has taken steps to ensure data centers on our grid will pay more for electricity than residential customers. It is unreasonable that a large-load consumer of a finite resource would pay the same as a resident. We need the same for water. https://coloradosun.com/2026/04/02/data-centers-xcel-energy-colorado-rate-tariff-consumers/ #climatejustice
