yes you are out of touch with today’s technology, phone cameras have autofocus so focal length is determined by how far u stand from the camera.

I literally said zoom! when u zoom the phone camera, the effective focal length changes because of discarded parts of the rectangle and because the camera autofocuses on the subject.
