  Wednesday night I had an incident every computer owner dreads: I spilled a beverage all over my MacBook. Most of Wednesday night went to me (with considerable help from @moira) taking the MacBook apart, finding all signs of tea within, and cleaning it up. This included not only taking the underside of the case off, but also detaching the trackpad and taking off all the keycaps so their undersides could be cleaned. I am here to tell you: taking an M1 MacBook Pro apart is _hard_. But thankfully...

  Results of computer surgery round 2: Procedure was successful, I think? We got the machine opened up again, and Dara put some of her thermal paste into the spot where it needed to go. Then we reassembled the box. I have noticed _smaller_ momentary signs of heat, not as much as before, which suggests we were on the right track. /1 #ComputerRepair #MacBookPro
