Golly. Just on my fifth 'Eastern Standard' and I'm feeling a little bit tipsy. Hic.

Seeing if Copilot can generate an non trivial, real life Oracle APEX application that wouldn't need rewrites and second surgery. Much to my surprise, it could. I think I retired at just the right time :-)

A little digging revealed it was actually a over zealous anti-virus program that mistakenly listed it as a Trojan.

I don't own a laptop. My wife's laptop is fiercely guarded and off limits. 'Everything works. Don't touch it. You'll break it'. I resurrected a Sony Vaio (colourful pink) that was my daughter's 18th birthday present and is 12 years old. Battery dead but works on mains power. Windows 7. Disk sounds like Concorde taking off. Installed Linux Mint. Works fine. Less disk access. Still slightly sluggish but perfectly fine for my Windows to Linu...
