Released mcp-wire 0.3.0 โ a small Go CLI that installs and configures MCP servers across Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode from one interface. New in this version: - `mcp-wire doctor` diagnostics - richer TUI metadata - `mcp-wire metadata` for agents/scripts - GitHub, Notion, and Linear in the curated catalog - safer credential storage https://www.andreagrandi.it/posts/announcing-mcp-wire-0-3-0/ #mcp #ModelContextProtocol #cli #opensource #golang

Released my first Obsidian plugin: Meeting Notes Sync ๐ It syncs your meeting transcripts, notes & AI summaries into your vault as plain Markdown โ from MacParakeet (via its local CLI, so they stay on your machine) and Fellow. One folder per meeting, non-destructive. If both tools recorded the same meeting, they merge into one folder instead of two. Desktop-only, open source, MIT. https://community.obsidian.md/plugins/meeting-notes-sync #ObsidianMD #OpenSource

Hot take: your face in the Youtube video tutorial you are presenting only serves your narcissistic ego. It covers important stuff most of the time and it's distracting. Don't @ me. Thanks

๐ Meeting Notes Sync v0.4.0 for Obsidian is out! New: merge two duplicate meetings into one. If MacParakeet and Fellow both record the same meeting under different titles, you used to end up with two folders. Now a single "Merge two meetingsโฆ" command folds both into one, combines their notes, removes the leftover, and keeps your meeting numbers sequential. https://community.obsidian.md/plugins/meeting-notes-sync #Obsidian #ObsidianMD

Over 30 minutes installation for just a minor patch and 6-7 reboots IS the reason why so many people rarely update their Mac

Working on open source apps has become a quite expensive hobby (assuming you write software like it's 2026 not like it's < 2024). While I can justify a ~$20 AI subscription for an hobby, I can hardly justify a ~$100 one (unless you make money from it). I guess... enjoy what I can provide with my $20 ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ

Folks, do yourself a favor and do not bother even trying codex-security It will waste your tokens (-20% of my weekly allowance!) and then will stop when finding a security vulnerability (which is the MAIN GOAL of this tool!) #security #fail #openai

@webology random idea: what if we had a fixed time during the Office Hours where attendees can add short topics to an agenda and have 5 minutes to present them? A sort of "Show & Tell" where we share our findings, projects, experience, learning etc... no need to be too long. A max number of topics for each day, first come first served etc.... what do you think? Or should we try to organise a different call/event? (I'd fit into this one, but not my call)....

AI is making code generation cheaper. But software engineering was never just about typing syntax, recalling APIs, or writing lots of code by hand. The real value is still in understanding the problem, defining the right requirements, choosing architecture, making trade-offs, validating correctness, security and performance, handling edge cases, and deciding what not to build. Code is getting cheaper. Judgment is not.

Unrequested ops advice: never listen to my ops advices ๐ฌ This evening I managed to bring @bookcorners down for a few minutes "thanks" to a simple apt-get upgrade which not just upgraded but reconfigured dokku, without even restarting the containers ๐ Since when a simple package upgrade wants to reconfigure everything from scratch? I thought this was basic stuff to handle.
