Having just finished my degree in Communication from Texas A&M, I plan to spend 2026 as a full-time freelance writer and see where things go from there.</p><p>No matter how often I insist that I'm not an extraterrestrial being with dual citizenship from Titan and Venus on a deep cover mission to prevent the next Martian invasion, my friends never quite believe me.</p>

I’m now two timezones further West. My website homepage will update accordingly with the exact offset when I next fire up my laptop (tommorow; it late). Unfortunately at some point on the trip I lost my beloved headphones of the last 3.5 years.

Every time I see two hyphens (--) instead of an actual em dash character (—) it takes a second to convince myself I'm not looking at a command line flag. (Which brings up a pet peeve of mine: blog posts about the terminal where some typography plugin has auto-replaced the double-hyphens in flags with em dashes)
