  @oldrup the timing with 7.0 is definitely not ideal. Luckily, all our sites are on delayed release, and we've been testing Accessibility Checker with 7.0 for months, so we don't have to think about it tomorrow. 😅 I hope you have a smooth day.

  I started running with some neighbors who work from home also, and have been running about a 5k every Tues. and Thurs. morning for 10 months now. Apparently buddies were what I needed to stick with it. August is killer though. Finished at 7:35 AM and it's already 80°F. 🥵

This was a multi-year process with many people involved, and I'm so happy to see the culmination of that process finally live. Theme devs with already published themes have until June 30th, 2026, to get their themes updated to the new standards or remove the accessibility-ready tag. #accessibility #a11y

  Fun fact: if you're using @brave browser and have shields up for Playground, it doesn't apply patches. This makes it very difficult to test @WordPress core PRs. Don't ask how long it took me to realize that was why I couldn't see any of the changes people said were in the PR...
