I find this analysis of Palantir deeply disturbing. Not least because of the foothold they have in the UK and so many other countries outside the US. https://deanblundell.substack.com/p/peter-thiels-palantir-the-company?triedRedirect=true&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

@CoinOfNote@hcommons.social @numismatics@fedigroups.social were they the same as UK postal orders? You can buy one for, say £10 (plus a small fee) and post it to another person, who can exchange it for £10 at another post office - or if it's crossed, you pay it into a bank account. Safer than posting bank notes, doesn't require the sender to have a bank account, and can't bounce like a cheque.

@pr3d@social.tchncs.de @Fpccraig@mastodon.social @alice@lgbtqia.space @krystalhosting@mastodon.social honestly, I don't even understand the question - I'm not that tech savvy! But I've found them very responsive - maybe just ask them? https://krystal.io/contact

@fionaorkneynews@mastodon.scot I confess my first thought on reading this headline was "wouldn't public buckets be more effective?"
