Dear Incensed Republicans of America, So sorry for all of the smoke. We forgot to turn on those massive circulators at the border that keep our dirty wildfire air from entering your country, you see? Our bad. We'll get right on it. Sincerely, Canada P.S. If your country could stop building a bajillion data centres and propping up the destructive oil and gas industry, that might keep our wildfire situation from worsening. Just a thought. 👍

Did you know that you can make cool, interactive modal windows without JavaScript? I used this guide ( https://dev.to/maxprilutskiy/creating-modal-windows-with-pure-css-no-javascript-required-1ja ) along with some modifications of my own to overhaul my links and logs pages recently. Figuring things out always feels good. 🙂 The desktop version of my Jekyll-powered blog now displays footnotes on mouse hover using plain ol' HTML and CSS. No JS necessary! Experimenting with drop caps on my blog, straddling the line between text-focused minimalism and whimsy! The drop cap font I'm using on the desktop version is called Medieval Alphabet Font. I was originally using Nouveau Drop Caps, which is a little more readable, but not as stereotypically "medieval." I decided to use Nouveau Drop Caps for the mobile version of my site, as the more ornate styling of Medieval Alphabet Font doesn't really work on smaller screens. #PersonalWeb...

We're redecorating our living room and trying to find some nice digital prints to purchase for the wall over our couch...
