Ok, here&#39;s a new one: wire-wound 0603 inductors measuring open circuit on 7 out of 110 boards (glad I ordered extras). 6x L72, 1x L41. L41 is kinda visible upon inspection, L72 less so. Two different part # from Murata, so I don&#39;t think it&#39;s just a bad reel. Any theories on how that could happen? #electronics

@ozeng some of the bend of L41 was probably me tugging to check whether the wire is loose. Good point about temperature stress. Though over the years I tortured similar parts with toaster oven reflow and hotair rework and never killed one.

@ozeng No big copper pours, but the traces are a bit oversized relative to the pads. Though the layout for L41 didn&#39;t change in a decade, shipping 5K+ units without any issue.
