Hello. I am a totally blind tech nerd, in both my personal and professional lives. I enjoy tinkering with computer software and hardware, coding, databases, client/server administration, diagnostics and technical support, and all the rest of that jazz. I administrate servers around the globe for database and web application hosting, VoIP telephony and amateur radio communications. I also do backend database administration and web application programming. Other interests include music, documentaries, biology, criminology, SciFi, being silly, and pondering the meaning of life.

In a way, I wish there was a way to disable my own ability to view followers and counts on Mastodon. When I say good/positive things, I lose followers. When I say bad/negative things, I lose followers. Clearly, it would be a lot better for my mental health if I simply didn&#39;t have access to this data.

Wahoo! Ten years retroactive, as well as this year&#39;s Canada disability Savings Bond was just deposited into my Registered Disability Savings Plan account. Time to make a max catchup contribution to triple those funds with the Canada Disability Savings Grant, and then invest into a slumping market, LOL. But gotta start somewhere, sometime.

I&#39;ve been enjoying spending time with my special person virtually. The distance makes it difficult at times, but we&#39;re planning a visit in May. As for Easter, I was a bit uncertain as to her favourite things, and Amazon didn&#39;t have the one thing I was sure of, but I found something else that she enjoys, and she will be getting it, if a couple days late. But its the effort and thought that count. As for me, I&#39;m going to see both sides of the family for dinners, bot...

My word, I truly do miss my main desk rig. I really aught to do something about getting it up and running. Basically, no display when entering BIOS/UEFI or one-time boot menu. Makes OS repair just a tad impossible. It needs a test bench with video diagnostics.

Since the peripheral known as a mouse exists, and it sits next to a keyboard, the keyboard should be called the catboard, so it can eat the mouse, and all it&#39;s UI implications.

Seriously, if Mastodon would get their shit together, and finally, once and for all, fixed the &quot;I don&#39;t know about you, so you don&#39;t exist&quot; problem, when it comes to instances talking to each other regarding accounts, it would probably have more users.
