  Watched The Road to El Dorado, it started slow but I ended up like it, some good songs too. Been loving Chainsmoker Cat. Watching Alley Cats which seems to be the most hated show on the planet but I think it’s okay. Nostalgic rewatch of Power Rangers season 1, one per day, that’s a nice time. Might start Sailor Moon Crystal when I’m caught up on Chainsmoker Cat.

  Work sent me $450 in gift cards for groceries and stuff. At first I expected flowers but then I figured even that wasn’t going to happen. Kind of shocked. I guess I’d better not bitch about them for at least a few weeks, huh?

  Recruit system is pretty neat, get to grow the town by being nice. Like Chapter 1 it's taken some time to grow on me, but Queen is pretty fun and the electronics theme isn't a bad change- more visually detailed too.

  Deltarune players- it sounds like the routes in this one are not as straightforward as Undertale. Should I for example play all of Chapter 2 and then go back and play Chapter 2 with an alternate path or just play through all five current chapters and then start messing around with alternate routes? Or just do none of those things and wait for the entire game to be out in case it looks at your other save files down the road.

  Is it worth jumping into Deltarune now or continue to wait- I can imagine it being pretty fun to speculate on what’s going to happen next. But there’s always a certain unsatisfying feeling when you reach the end of a story that’s not finished yet.

  Dragon Quest VII Reimagined did not get universal excitement the way XI did, but I think it's probably my favorite Dragon Quest game. It's just pure Dragon Quest, with lots of great quality of life features, fun characters, tons of different places to visit and save- with much of the early and mid game feeling like episodes of an anime with a new villain appearing. The graphics are lovely and Toriyama's classic monster designs still look phenomenal.

  It was cool to get Kiefer back to beat the final dungeon but he really couldn’t visit his dad and show him what a great man he’d become before returning to the past? Hero’s dad is lost at sea and then in the ending is just there? Might have been an NPC that mentioned it but that should be a cutscene. I wanted more about the Almighty, why the ritual didn’t work, what he was up to- there’s a little in the postgame but this is brought up constantly and should be in MSQ

  I like how the fake Almighty, actually the demon king, is like the stereotypical powerful and intimidating god, but the real one has a bulbous nose and looks like a kind old man

  9mg Wegovy is kicking my butt. Really just don’t want to eat or drink anything and feeling slight nausea all day. Trying to eat a bite or two at a time but it’s rough.

  I hate those days when I'm hurting, dealing with Mom, and having numerous health issues and I get pushed and pushed and pushed until I snap and then everybody looks down on me for getting mad.

  Had to take her to the ER tonight, which means two Mothers Day in a row in the hospital- unless she gets out tonight, which is unlikely. Aside from mod. to major back pain, she hasn’t been able to keep down food or liquids, even small amounts. Try to consult with her oncology team about it, but they didn’t seem concerned enough. Since it continued for another day, it seemed like it was time to get some help. Food is one thing, but not being able to keep down water scares me.

  Every time the story starts to feel a little mundane they hit me with something right in the feels. Speaking of being hit, the enemies in this part of the game are brutal. I don’t know if maybe I was supposed to do these spirits in a different order, but this is more like old-school DQ.

  I decided to post about the game after all. And they seem to be removing AI stuff. Please no shaming comments or DM’s. I’ve been playing some on phone and some on PC. The actuon battles are good and the city is large and intricate, no loading zones. Animations are over the top and fun. Cool board game mini game for pulls and no 50/50. I pulled Nanally on pull 49- she’s really funny. In her mind, she is some kind of mob boss with us as consigliere.

  Been getting a little more into phone gaming and trying to find the right controller. USB-C feels a little too janky to me. Trying this next. It still throws me off how hot the phone gets but I guess if it’s not throwing up any warnings it’s fine

  Sad about constantly feeling priced out of everything I like. The Switch 2 increase isn’t huge and I already have one but it’s just another symptom of everything. Playing new games will become a hobby for the rich by the next console generation when it launches at $1,000 and $100 games
