I split out the core of Capy Reader to run directly on the JVM. This has let me benchmark integrations via the CLI. I was able to decrease cold start refreshes by 50% over 10k unread articles. The FreshRSS improvements have already shipped. I'm hoping to ship the Miniflux ones soon. #capyreader #freshrss #miniflux

I'm working on offline reading in Capy on a new "Saved for Later" page. Tap to save a link and read the fully downloaded article later.

The latest nightly for Capy is out. Usually I'd say you can sleep on a nightly release, but it's worth being awake for this one. I've been informally thinking of this as a v2 release. It's all the big features I've been unsure about releasing incrementally like a "Spotlight" widget or reworking unread filters. There's more to do before an official release, but if you want a sneak peak, try it out and let me know how it goes! htt...

RE: https://indieweb.social/@tg/116086401953523135 I tried this out, it's a fresh take on RSS with a lot of neat ideas. Worth a shot if you're on iOS!

F-Droid releases have been so snappy that I've decided to remove dev releases from Capy Reader. I had introduced them as a way to get releases faster but now the build server is super fast on its own. #fdroid #capyreader

I started self-hosting RSSHub to use with Threads and it works great. How did I sleep on this for so long? #rss #rsshub #selfhosted

And I thought Twitch comment streams were chaotic. Just proof that there are still unique UI patterns out there to explore. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danmaku_subtitling #til

It's been a rough day, but learning that "Capybara" literally translates to "water pig" in English has made it better. #wasserschwein
