  Stage 2 of Shell's Retriever. The second time I got to the end I dropped a save state. The first time, I dropped the game for a few days after missing the jump. Figured I'd revisit it and do it legit. Then I realized I wasn't recording so I did it a few more times until I could get consistent. My worst enemy was the up-pipe for the longest time. Still need to look into a good overlay to show the controls while playing. #SuperMarioWorld #KaizoSMW #SteamDeck

  More Shell's Retriever. The ice cave level will probably be the easiest in the hack. Took me <10m to get it down. Hardest part was throwing the P Switch then re-pressing run/grab fast enough to grab the shell. Run, grab and fireball all sharing a button is also this level's troll. Instinct, after throwing the last shell, is to immediately regrab run. Doing so will fireball it before you can shell jump. I still almost hit the Swooper when I did regrab it. #SuperMarioWorld...

  Last recordings corrupted but I might double back to to get them. "The Ultrastar-ish" level was a grind. Easier than the second but the ending was rough. I think the troll is not regrabbing run quickly after the last shell jump to pick up the P Switch. Hitting it early would keep you from knocking the turn block first. After that was a six room castle of one-room tricks. Really cool challenge. And now? Motor Skills level. This is gonna be a long grind. #SuperMarioWorld #KaizoS...

  Seems I'm being forced into another shadetree mechanic arc. Or I will be whenever the frozen hellscape thaws out. Rad, timing & serp belts, water pump, thermostat, valve cover gaskets & plug tube seals... probably almost every hose since they're all about a quarter of a century old. To be fair, most of this is way overdue which speaks volumes for how solid the old Toyota V8s are. On the bright side my Harbor Freight membership has paid for itself. More Rock Auto...
