saw butterflies this morning. my first time to see a _Papilio deiphobus_ (_rumanzovia_?). it was very beautiful. the others, i was not able to photograph. it had a peculiar style of flying, it hovered and glided a lot between our calamansi plants. #insect #butterfly #philippines

flat long-horned beetle found last Monday. it was clinging on a stick in a pot of cactus. attempted to search for it under the Philippine filter in iNaturalist but most of the longhorns in this location are not id’ed at the genus level. #insects #beetle

saw Taal last week. the entire lake-filled hollow is a caldera. impressive that the second most active volcano in the Philippines looks so small (short) and peaceful. #philippines #batangas #volcano #taal
