  Just finished reading Amor Towles book "The Lincoln Highway" and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kept thinking as I was reading it, what a terrific limited TV series it would make. (Rob Reiner would have been fabulous at bringing the book to life.) An episode for each event along their journey. Terrific characters. Still thinking about the ending. #reading

  Stylin'. I have this pair of old jeans that are loose & comfy. Great for walking the dog, gardening etc. Noticed a small hole in the thigh area after the most recent wash. This afternoon I grabbed the thigh area of the jeans to pull them up as I crouched down. Made a 4" tear in the leg of the jeans. So now I'm stylin' in my baggy old jeans. Me & the kids. lol

  No doubt Harry & Meghan live a very expensive lifestyle. Between Meghan's clothes & jewels, as well as upkeep on their massive Montecito property and expensive security costs, they are rapidly running through their fortune. Even as Royals they have ruined their reputations & therefore have little prospect of making the amount of money they need to sustain their lifestyle. Not going to be a happy household. #Sussex #RoyalFamily

  I feel as though the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. Today was my last curling game of the season. I lost, but happy I did at least get on the score board. Our spring ice is a ridiculous mess, something that happens every spring. Gotta wonder why it is never fixed in the off season. Not my problem anymore. That was my last curling game, giving up the sport after 35 years. #curling

  Emailing with a friend who is currently in Egypt. He's thinking of leaving earlier than originally planned. He's worried he may not be able to get home if he leaves it much longer: no fuel for a return flight. Never would have occurred to me before he made the statement. Yikes!

  No doubt about it, Pam Bondi is no shrinking violet. Tough as nails. But also a huge sycophant. If justice ever prevails about the twisting of justice by this Administration, her feistiness is going to be useless. Fingers crossed.

  The video of Mark Kennedy delivering 'the rock' in the #curling game against Edin is only questionable, not proof. Having judged the hog line in officiated games, I know what you have to see. Unfortunately the video is taken from the wrong side of the sheet to see exactly what that finger was doing. Odd, yes, to extend a finger after delivery but that's all. We can't see the point of contact - if there was one -- because we can't see the entire finger....

  Our #curling club is in a mess. Needing to replace the entire ice plant at a cost of $850,000. Fundraising has not been successful so far, and I doubt it will be in time to replace the equipment for next season. Additionally the ice maker left just before this season began so his understudy is now managing the ice. The ice is awful. Right now we're dealing with 7 - 8 foot curl with draw weight on many sheets. Nope, not returning to curling next season.

  If ever you want to see the difference between Canada & the U.S., the shooting in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia couldn't highlight it more. In the U.S. it would just be 'today's school shooting', no different than any other. In Canada, it is a tragedy that has altered the plans of the national political leaders so they could ALL (5) travel together to attend the town's vigil. Flags across the country are at half-mast. All of Canada is mourning....
