Hey! If you want a sneak peek at my new project, you can do so here: https://patience.c3.cx/ It’s a set of patience/solitaire card games for iOS. Highly polished, good looking, no ads, no AI, no tracking. Hand picked to actually be fun, instead of just including every game out there. A mix of classic, new, and weird. Good card games to keep the mind busy and pass time.

Today was my last day at work. Getting out of the tech industry for now, it's not a good place to be right now. I am extremely lucky to have gathered up enough money to not have to think about finding another job right away. Will have a lot more time to spend with my partner and on my own projects now, though.

Given that -la is a common place name suffix in Finnish, I think this is where the Reimu/Marisa shippers all live?

I wish someone could explain Dorohedoro to me. But I don't think that information exists.

It sure is tempting to read Witch Hat Atelier as a direct response to Harry Potter, setting out to do right everything it does wrong. Not sure that is a fair, though, since the problems of Harry Potter are really just problems that pervade a lot of fantasy storytelling. Harry Potter is just a greatest hits collection of the Problematic Wizard Tropes. I think a fairer reading is that Witch Hat Atelier is just aware of a lot of those greater problems, and tries to navigate them gracefully.

I don't think I've seen a less usable API than #swiftui's keyframeAnimator. This is meant to be a really powerful animation API, but due to some really, really weird choices in how it actually works, I can NOT figure out a way to actually do ANYTHING useful with it. Or, when I do manage to, the code is incredibly ugly and awkward. What went wrong here.
